EEM Energy Efficient Green Mortgages

I was talking to mortgagegreen.com the other day, and they thought I was Jerimiah. Heh heh.
Green Mortages are the New thing for people looking to mortage their home or get a home with a mortgage, as people are allowed to get higher mortgages because the capital investment with capital returns acts as a hedge for the capital investment in the first place. As soon as solar is installed the bills disapear which makes it so that people don't have to pay as much for their energy creating a situation where the bank has a much more sure bet of getting a return on the investment. This form of capital interest has allowed both banks and homeowners to benefit. The banks can spread risk/ avert risk and the Residents get healthy green equipment making them better off in the long run.

Blue is the new green

the ocean contributes more than 2/3 of the earths oxygen to the atomosphere, perhaps its time to think of more than just he earth we walk on. Think about that plastic bag, did it end up in the ocean. How about the flip flops that float down the river or the soda pop bottle that rolls down the street. Next time you see a beer can between your feet pick it up carry it with you and throw it in the trash or the recycling. The earth isn't just you and me its the treeses and the beeses and the everything inbetweenses.

A Whirling Wind Turbine Dancing in the Breeze

Earth Day Events

Go out and plant a tree. Do it yourself, there is not need to ask someone to help. Just go buy a tree, and plant it as soon as possible. Start and organization that has planting days each month. Plant trees in publicly available and free lands. Find government organizations that already plant trees, and join them. Plan a tree in your back yard, plant a tree in your front yard. Give Green A Go!

Community Gardening On the Rise

Community Gardening is on the Rise, it seems that recessions make people want to get out and plant seeds. Seed companies have released notice that they are running low on some seeds because larger than expected demand for vegetable seeds. I really wish I had planted that orchard I wanted when I was 3 years old, so I could go back and visit/pick some fruit right now.

Portland Oregons Mayor Sam Adams advocates Solar NOW!!

Portland Oregons Mayor has shown his dedication to generating more green power for the city, mayor Sam Adams has called for the city to generate five megawatts of solar energy by 2012. A megawatt can typically power between 800 and l,000 average sized homes.

Adams On Solar in Oregon
"For years we fought the mis-perception that solar is impossible in this part of the country. We know that to be false, as we demonstrate through collaboration between public and private enterprises, that we can be leaders in the manufacturing and adoption of solar energy," said Adams in a statement.

In fact, Germany has less solar resource than the US and in fact generates a fairly high amount of energy from photovoltaic. One thing to think about would be using one of the higher output solar thermal systems so as to generate more electric. The conventional Trough based solar collectors are reaching ever expanding efficiencies as the understanding of heat engine chemistry evolves.

Check out the Solar Now website for more on the new solar initiatives in Portland Oregon

As well check out green-renaissance.com by email or telephone to have an associate discuss with your company the process of installing a large solar collector system for generating megawatts of electricity.

Solar Power Parking Lots

One thing I have realized is that there are two major problems with our current parking/ storage for our fossil fuel vehicles. They are open to the weather, and their multi use functionality is not being implemented. If we could convert all parking lots to solar power parking lots we could effectively hit two birds with one stone solving the problem of our vehicles being open to the weather, our problems of available clean electricity, as well as save on the gas losses from the expansion of gas during a sunny time in the day. Check out http://green-renaissance.com for more info on solar power parking systems.

Another system I saw was one which imbeds polyethylene pipes into the ground in order to save on heating bills. Which acts a lot like a geo exchange unit.

Biodegradable Plastics: Do they Deserve a tax incentive?

Should there be a tax incentive to produce or purchase biodegradable plastics? What about Solar, Wind, and Hydro?
What would be the effect of long term support of the biodegradable plastics industry?
Would a large up front investment in any industry drive further growth of production within that market niche?
